if you've been wondering why i haven't written lately, it's not because i've been chopped up by the riding lawnmower, it's because i've been on vacation in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania. all the fam got together for a nice long weekend in a cozy cabin in the mountains. and zach made a special surprise visit! we spent most of the weekend eating, drinking, playing bocce, chasing nico, and feeding little baby henry. we went to the pool too but the scattered thunderstorms didn't allow for an extended stay. the resort was beautiful--tall green mountains, deep blue lakes, and everything wood-built. it was terrifically relaxing.

after i unpacked last night i went to the bar for open mic night with adam, nolan, zane, and kurt. and guess who else was there??
whitney! i told him to come last week and he did. i invited him to sit with us and i think he really appreciated the gesture. my friends really liked him and i felt proud to know him.

today has been the longest day in history. probably because i worked, took a nap, woke up again, and have been dilly dallying ever since. and also because i miss everyone a bunch. i did get my camera though! it's super sexy. i've taken about twenty pictures of my feet in every possible mode and i've recorded two movies of Crawmama. she ate it up.
